John Phillip Stamos (born August 19, 1963) is an actor. He attended Kennedy High School in La Palma, California. In high school, Stamos played in his school’s jazz band and marching band for multiple years and was a member of the California Scholarship Federation. He also performed with a rock band in his high school’s talent show. Stamos broke into acting with a role on the long-running soap opera General Hospital which earned him an Emmy nomination. In 1987, Stamos landed his best-known role as Jesse Katsopolis on the hit show Full House. He has since appeared on popular shows like ER, Glee, and Two and a Half Men.
